ILGenWeb Project: Bureau County





Bureau County was formed in 1837 from Putnam County and the county seat is Princeton. The current county boundaries include a total of 873.50 square miles of which 869.03 square miles are land and 4.47 square miles of water. Bureau County was named after Michel or Pierre Bureau.
